The Akha Children's Home is geared to provide immediate relief and support for marginalized and underserved Akha children, especially boys, in the northern Thailand region. This home is based on a successfully proven model currently serving young girls. It provides children with a loving and nurturing environment, enabling them to achieve their full potential as human beings and as members of a larger community. These children come from extreme circumstances that deny them hope for the future. Children are encouraged to develop pride in their heritage and maintain all healthy relationships within their home community. Many of these children return to their villages and act as agents for positive change. The impact of this project extends beyond merely being a home for children in need.
